It’s why I call science a process of discovery; and why, if there is a god named God, science will discover that and not a religion. I think the religious, in the core of their being, know that and that makes them envy science as a process. The necessity to keep that lauding feeling hidden stirs them to anger. The condition concatenates when they take it out on us, stir us to anger, of which they accuse us to deflect attention from themselves. If their god turns out to be the one named (among other things) God in the Bible, it already knows. They engage in a losing conflict, they know that, but keep on trying to fool God because they subsist on hope and they’re too scared to switch sides.
