To lie makes for an eventually expensive way to choose the easy answer to a problem. Yet, on the surface, it seems like some people get away with lying as a habit. They have fallen into a trap where lie after lie must be told to provide a cover. Only the whimsy of luck will let them die before the truth is discovered, or they forget how to tell what is real from what is false. The worst are those who lie to themselves, then believe their lies and spend a lifetime avoiding much that is true. Their trap will never spring open to free them. Too dense to see the waste they made of living, whatever gains their lies bring to them will, in the end, be left to those who learned to hate them for their lies.
